Brett Conley

Brett began his career in financial consulting where he led the business valuation and capital markets group for Ernst & Young.  He subsequently directed international expansion and acquisition activities in Europe for a privately-held U.S. manufacturing company, and held executive positions in finance with Fortune 500 companies in the transportation and telecommunications industries.  At Sprint-Nextel Corporation he was responsible for all financial reporting to public securities markets, short and long-range financial planning, and financial analytics for this $40 billion organization.  In 2007, he co-founded Freestate Advisors.  He holds an MBA in Finance and Series 65 Investment Advisor securities registration.

Tom Halvorson

Tom began his career in consulting and was Practice Director for financial consulting with Ernst & Young.  He served as Chief Financial Officer for an investor group in the capitalization, acquisition, operational development, and successful sale of a Missouri insurance company.  He later developed a Bermuda-based reinsurance company, and served as Chief Financial Officer aned Chief Operating Officer of a major regional insurance and health management company.  In 2000, he returned to management consulting and developed a consultancy practice to Fortune 500 companies in business finance.   In 2007, he co-founded Freestate Advisors.  He holds an MBA in Finance and Series 65 Investment Advisor securities registration.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
